Check it out, I put on light blue eyeshadow like some kind of soft-lit Dolly Parton worshipper! #Accomplishments. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, something about color on my eyelids these days makes me uncomfortable. I used to wear MAD COLORS all over my eyes in my younger years, particularly purple, taking pride in my blending ability and rainbow-looking-ness. Now it’s all black eyeliner, all the time. Have I “lost my edge”? My makeup edge? It seems similar to how Madonna went from looking like this, to looking like she attended the Botox MILF School of Beauty in her later years. It’s too soon for me to go to that beauty school, guys. Too soon.
hey internet friendz, give my blog feature on 365Hangers a peek!
Sunday, Fussy Sunday //
This is what you look like when you try and reinvent the wheel on a perfectly fine Sunday afternoon. I don’t want to wear a skinny belt on the weekend! I don’t want to tuck anything in! That’s for the Monday - Friday (ok, Thursday, really) livin’. I do like orange and green together, and it’s hard to go wrong with a denim jacket, so I guess it’s got that going for it (the outfit, is it a person now?), but typically I like to roll a little more low-key on the last day I have before I go back to (MTV’s) The Grind. Kinda wish I could just go back in time and work on MTV’s The Grind for realz. I think these sunglasses would help me fit in.
What are these things, how do they work??!!
Sometimes I feel like my personal style is a little bit “cool Miami grandma”. Like, she’s a resident of Miami, definitely a grandma, but she’s got a kicky attitude and buys you stuff you actually want! If you were 21 (or 18, what the heck, she’s cool, right?) you guys would go somewhere swanky to sip gin and tonics or frosty glasses of a crisp white (she sprung for the bottle, better price per glass) after a shopping trip (somewhere that sells breezy caftans and cocktail rings, she knows the owner). This gold purse speaks to that type of lady, possibly because up until recently it belonged to my grandma.
White Tops, Color Pops //
Embrodiered jacket, straw bag, big ass sunglasses - am I a fAuXhEmIaN yet?? Imma quote Icona Pop and letcha know that I - DON’T - CAHE - I - LOVE - this jacket. Seriously, just try to make me change out of this jacket on the weekend. I will have a scary, psycho meltdown and eat your face off if presented with the task of choosing something else to wear.** I’m not taking this off till June.
**This did not happen. Whatever my boyfriend says, he is lying, and should be ignored.
“LOOK HUNGRY! HUNGRIER!!”

All blue errythang. Plus yellow stud earrings, some real grandma jewelry, and some wannabe grandma jewelry. I’m okay with both.

This was the day after my sister’s wedding. I did a lot of sitting, mainly because I was tired. I was ignorantly under the impression that weddings are “relaxing”, and I was going home for a “vacation” of some design - LOLOL. Heck no!! I tend to fall back on preppy classics when things get hectic, because they feel easy to wear. Bright wedges and stripes will dress you up in a family-friendly way, perfect for a brunch at 10am on a Sunday with lots of people you haven’t seen in a while. And by a while, I mean since last night, when you drank a bunch of gin and danced to Flagpole Sitta in front of them.

This post is just like that Rihanna song. *Watches the video* Ok maybe it’s the exact opposite of that song. Nothin’ like a sleeved dress and some pointy toe heels to make you feel like a Stepford wife! You kids want some rhubarb pie? Stop trying to murder each other (practicing my parenting skills). This was a second option for my sister’s wedding. I like options when travelling, they come in handy if the weather is not cooperating, or if you’re just not “feelin’ it” (your first option that is). Any ding dong can wear a plain dress to a wedding, so why not cover your full body in a feather print to really shove it in all those guests’ stupid faces? I think that’s the point of the event.
